Please join us virtually for a is a conference where high school students can learn about climate change, develop Climate Action Plans (CAP’s), and work together to address environmental issues in their communities. CAP’s are outlined strategies on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
- Saturday, October 19th, 2024 - 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Zoom with two guest speakers on climate topics (resilence/adaptation and invasive species), and let students briefly work on their Climate Action Plans (CAP).

09:15 - 09:45 - Presenter on how to make a CAP

10:15 - 10:20 - ask student cohorts to come with a draft CAP, volunteers to share (in-person working on CAPs)

Dates for the Youth Climate Summit:

- Sunday, October 20th – in person field day at Greenwich Audubon Center

Sunday Plan
- In-person workshop on invasive species removal, a discussion on ways to help your local backyard ecosystems, and a "trash to art" activity turning recycled materials into conservation-focused artwork to potentially be displayed in our center.
- We will then do some habitat restoration efforts and land stewardship. Dress to be outside, working around plants, and we will provide gloves!
